CURRENT EVENTS

JOIN US

Join us for a meeting each month in Fellowship Hall.

Girl Scout Troop #1384 invites all girls in Kindergarten through Sixth grade to join our troop! Juniors and Brownies meet the first Friday of every month during the school year. Daisies meet the second Friday of every month during the school year.

We also have a number of optional activities for the troop, as well as through the Palatine-area troops. Information will be shared about dates/times as soon as it is available. Some examples of activities we have done in the past include a visit to Tamarak Nursing Home, Christmas caroling, collecting food for our nation’s Troops, attending Spring Camporee (put on by the Vista), a trip to Medieval Times, a trip to My Party Princess, marching in the Memorial Day parade and skating at Orbitz Roller Rink. Our Troop members will get to vote on a number of these items.

LEVELS OF GIRL SCOUTS

Girl Scouts come in many sizes!

We have three levels of Girl Scouts, all meeting in Fellowship Hall, as follows:

  • DAISIES for Kindergarten- and first-grade level, meets 2:10-3:00 p.m. Our Daisy leader is Danielle McCready.
  • BROWNIES for 2nd grade and 3rd grade, meets 2:10-3:15 or 3:30 p.m. Our Brownie leader is Gaby Casillas.
  • JUNIORS for 4th grade thru 6th grade, meets 3:00-4:15 or 4:30 p.m. (NOTE: Juniors meet later so as to avoid conflict with those kids wishing to participate in band. If needed, we will host a study hall from 2:15-3:00 p.m.) Our Junior leaders are Kathy Raby and Kathleen Baughman.

Thanks, ladies, for volunteering to lead our children! If anyone else would like to volunteer to assist, there are always opportunities. Please contact one of the leaders listed above.
