Mrs. Mau teaches the “Young 5’s” class. She has 23 years of teaching experience, 8 of them at Immanuel. Mrs. Mau has a B.S. in Elementary Education, with course work in early childhood education. She remembers wanting to be a teacher even as a young girl in the 3rd grade. She loved school herself and wanted to instill the love of learning with others. She continues to teach to share God’s word and His love with the children and their families. In addition, she wants children to see that learning is fun and to begin to establish a life habit of wanting to learn. Mrs. Mau has two grown sons and two granddaughters. Her husband is a pastor in Des Plaines.
